True community participation is about more than just being dropped off at an event or a shopping centre. It is about active engagement, shared experiences, and feeling like you are part of something bigger.
At WinaCare, we utilise the NDIS “Innovative Community Participation” framework to run tailored Lifestyle Groups. These groups bring together individuals who are in similar stages of life—allowing them to connect over shared interests and common experiences.
Guided by our dedicated mentors, these groups are not clinical “day options.” Instead, they are dynamic, hands-on environments. Our mentors don’t just sit back and supervise; they get involved, sitting side-by-side with you to facilitate skill-building, spark conversations, and foster a culturally inclusive, judgement-free space where genuine peer-to-peer friendships can thrive.
Engaging activities designed to build confidence and real-world skills. Depending on the group's interests, this can include art and craft, gardening, cooking, digital graphics, or even video game programming.
You are never left to figure it out alone. Our mentors actively participate in the activities with you, guiding the group dynamic and ensuring everyone feels included and valued.
We carefully group like-minded individuals who are at similar life stages (teenagers, young adults, or adults). This shared context makes it much easier to relate to one another, practice social skills, and build lasting friendships.
Rooted in our social work philosophy, these groups are trauma-informed and culturally inclusive. It is a space where you can truly be yourself without fear of judgement.
Integrated Transport Support: We know getting there can be half the battle. We provide reliable transport to and from our group sessions so you can focus entirely on enjoying the day and connecting with others.
